London White

  • London White qualified directly for the Finals from the South Central Qualifier having finished 2nd.

    London White was only formed as a team this year; from students returning to sailing at the University of London Sailing Club. The team are relatively old in terms of years (and experience): Alex and Andrew are currently taking Masters degrees at UCL and LSE, while Raffi and Amy are both finishing their final undergraduate year at Kings and UCL respectively; leaving Ben and Tara, both in their 2nd year at UCL, to complete the team.

    This year has seen the team steadily improve, from a respectable 13th at the Oxford Magnum to a 2nd at the BUSA qualifiers and our first win as a team at the Imperial Icicle - they are hoping the trend continues!

    This is the first time in 4 years that a London team has qualified for the BUSA finals and the first time in the students memory that they have been able to send two teams who will no doubt be looking to capitalise on this new lease of life!
